Что такое зодчество?

I saw this term in different texts and I guess it’s an architecture style but I’m not sure. Could someone explain what this word is about? Спасибо вам заранее.

It’s the same as architecture (old name for it)

The word is really old that’s why now it’s mostly used when referring to some old building as well.

Nowadays most people in Russia won’t even tell you what the word means :) It is archaic but is occasionally used, mostly in museums
