Опохмелиться?

I came across this strange verb – опохмелиться – and I guess we don’t have an analogue in English. Is it so? What is it?

“Hair of the dog (that bit you)” is a colloquial expression used to refer to alcohol that is consumed with the aim of lessening the effects of a hangover. Yep, we don’t have a verb but an idiom (though I’ve never heard it used)

It means “to take a drink to cure a hangover”

It’s something like when you have a headache after drinking too much and you drink a little again in the morning to make it stop
