Быстрее и быстрей
Is there a difference between быстрее and быстрей? I guess one of them is more formal, probably быстрей because I see it often. Am I right?

Быстрей is a colloquial one

You are right, быстрей is more informal and is mostly used in oral speech while быстрее in written

Yep, they are pretty much the same just быстрей is colloquial
